I have been a fan of Lord of the Rings from childhood. I found some Lord of the Rings figures in true 1/48 scale and it was the last push that I needed to change my On30 railroad location from the arid west of the United States to the arid east of Middle Earth in the 6th age.

I have not found any published material about the start of the 6th age of Middle Earth so I feel free to model how things turned out 2000 plus years after the ring was destroyed my way. I have moved farther from prototype modeling but I still work at following prototype best practices in equipment and operation as close as I can.
