Hearing the cries of the trapped dwarfs and the sounds of battle King Njordr and the three dwarfs with him rush to the rescue.
The dungeon is cleared from the first stage except for any dwarfs and mastiff that are safely locked in their room or rooms. All boned skeleton warriors are also removed because it is assumed that the Necromancer had just enough time to revive them and they are accounted for in the undead dungeon placements. Wounded dwarfs from stage one retain their wounds.
King Njordr has a defense of 4 because of his royal armor. He also has a choice of shield bash or hammer time after the first door with a trapped dwarf is opened. He is assumed to get Crusher at that time regardless of how far he is from the door we assume the trapped dwarf finds some way to get the weapon to him perhaps by sliding it across the floor or throwing it to him. Crusher is an exceptional weapon forged by the great smith Kolr that allows Njordr to use a shield and still deliver crushing blows.
To open a door a dwarf must use an action while standing in front of the door while not in contact with the undead.
Each room with a number below the lowest numbered room with a dwarf in it will receive the following placements. There are only two Pit of Souls so when two have been placed the third room would only have one skeleton warrior in it (this can only happen if the trapped dwarfs are in room four). The skeletons are placed on the side that the door is on so the example below is for rooms 1 and 2 on the right side of the dungeon. The pit of souls is always at the bottom and away from the door on the side the dungeon exit is on.
The dwarfs must rescue all the dwarfs that are trapped and retrieve the body of Price Alviss. One dwarf can pick up can the princes body using one action to pick it up and normal movement after that. If forced to fight while carrying the body the body is dropped and an activation must be used to pick it up again. If the king is killed the dwarfs lose. If Crusher is retrieved but the body of the Prince is not it is a minor victory for the dwarfs. It is king's son that has been lost in the dungeon it will cost King Njordr personally and in supporters if the body of his son is not recovered. If the king escapes without Crusher or the body of his son it is a minor victory for the undead.
The Necromancer gets three activation tokens to start the game. He can draw one token per turn. The Necromancer also gets one Baleful Gaze.
The Dwarfs get five activation tokens to start the game and can draw to bring their token count back to five at the end of their turn. Son of stone can not be used.
