Wow no nuggets after 2007!   I have been very busy but not much layout building in that time.

I have started to paint some figures, made a photography table and completed my remodeling to the point where starting my benchwork is in sight.  I had a bad year in terms of managing my time as events that I did not control took up a lot of my time.

During this down time I have been moving very firmly into total fantasy for the time and location of my model railroad.  I have been working on place names and a general history as a starting point.  My two boys seem very interested in what I am doing so is seems that so far I am successful in engaging them.  It would not be the end of the world if they did not have an interest in my model trains but having them along for the ride is preferred.

I am hoping this winter will be a winter where progress on my layout will accelerate.
