W&W Railtruck
Model by Allen Littlefield

my latest rail truck utilizing the HO Bach. ballast mech. This is a freelance version of the Waynesburg & Washington rail truck circa 1939-40.

Mostly styrene construction except for metal hood. I had a problem with mounting the cabin to the deck as I needed it to be removable in order to access interior. The metal hood will be cemented to the deck and the cabin will snug up to it by the two styrene 'bayonet' type tabs on the underside that will fit under both sides of the T-bar that is cemented to the chassis deck. One wood screw then holds the unit fast to the deck. This way I was able to cement the roof on permanently.

I must admit that this is probably the ugliest model I ever built but I wanted to see if I could do it. Bear in mind it is not a FAITHFUL rendition of the prototype but a FREELANCE facsimile. I have yet to round up two lights for the roof.
