2007-04 Car Cards a Great System

I have a thing about any system that is fault tolerant, easy to understand and uses low technology and I think car cards for model railroad operations is one of those systems. This month I am added a detail description of my understanding of using car cards to the 12 Mile Station FAQ section.
I don't plan to use car cards for my layout because I want to keep monetary score of operator performance and that requires a computer system if you want to avoid a lot of paperwork. I will write my own operations software and the logic will borrow a lot from the car card system so it is a good exercise for me to try to explain my understanding of how car cards work.
