The Fish Got Away From The Reporter Gorain has been frustrated for years with the large amount of water that goes down Rock Creek in the spring because his thinking is that, a large amount of water should also include some large fish. Gorain is the scholar of Eagles Nest and every spare moment is spent reading up on something. During his reading about fishing in Gondor he round the answer! A casting net was just the thing to pull the fish from the raging creek during the spring run off. Gorain ordered a net all the way from Gondor and with great confidence told everyone about how he was going to harvest fish this spring. A small crowd gathered at Rock Point where Gorain prepared to put his casting net to use. He attached the net's retaining line to his wrist and tossed the net into the creek. Like magic, Gorain was pulled off his perch on the rock and into the creek! After a wild ride through the rapids Gorain was able to get into an eddy and onto shore. All Gorain captured with his net was an old tin can. The vocal encuragement of the onlookers was not enough to get him to try the net again.
