Cross Junction

This was the most grueling, intense, fabrication skill testing structure I have ever done !!!!!!!!!!  The roof took me almost a month as each and every shingle was hand cut and applied, row by row.  Almost had me in a straight jacket by the time I was finished.  The original design was by the famous John Allen of Gorre & Daphetid RR fame of the 50--70 era. It was built in HO by Allen (I think Allen designed it and a friend constructed it for him - Donboy), I did it in O for a person in NY state who asked me to make it for him.

The brick walls as shown are from NWIhobbies, the diorama is OOOO scale 1/4"...A modified version of the famous John Allen Cross Junction Depot from the Gorre & Daphetid railroad. On the Gorre & Daphetid this depot served as two station stops by serving the high line at the top of the stairs and the low line at the platform. The walls, in this particular version, are very wavey sagging brick, distressed with bulges and all that. Trains of Texas long gone originally offered them and 3 other versions. NWI bought the originals on ebay for over $300 and then copied them. They also have their own model they produced...the stone ??
